These uniface counters (10) are housed in a silver plain box with two moulded girdles was made by Thomas Kedden c1710
The box measure 28mm by 20mm and is in good condition. The pulloff lid also carries the QA letter with her left facing profile.
The lid inside is uniface.
The ten uniface counters are in very good condition.Boxed multiples are quite rare.
Thomas Kedden was an English silversmith active in London during the late 17th and early 18th centuries, known for silver mounts for prayer-books and similar items. e He was the son of Ralph Kedden of the Isle of Wight and was apprenticed to Emanuel Russell, a bookbinder, on 3 October 1682. e Kedden gained his freedom as a Merchant Taylors' Company member on 1 February 1692 and entered his mark as a smallworker on 20 November 1700, operating from Noble Street.

For some seven years he engraved the die stamps for the coins of King William III and Queen Anne before becoming Chief Engraver to the Royal Mint, a position he held from 1705 until his death.
